Ingredients

  • 4 oz Lean Ground Beef

  • 2 tsp onion, minced

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1/2 tsp chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder

  • 1/4 tsp paprika

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped

  • 1/2 avocado, diced

  • 1/4 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast

Directions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add the lean ground beef and cook until browned. Break it up into small pieces using a spatula or spoon.

  2. Add minced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the ground beef. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent and the garlic is fragrant.

  3. Sprinkle chili powder, cumin powder, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper over the beef mixture. Stir well to coat the meat evenly with the spices. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Remove from heat and set aside.

  4. In a serving bowl, arrange the chopped romaine lettuce as the base.

  5. Top the lettuce with the seasoned ground beef mixture.

  6. Add the diced avocado and halved cherry tomatoes on top of the beef.

  7. Sprinkle nutritional yeast over the salad to add a cheesy and nutty flavor.
