And help you sustain it.

SOZA is to restore to health, to save, rescue, deliver, heal, to be made whole and complete.

Can you achieve a healthy weight fast? Reverse type 2 diabetes? Improve your overall metabolic health?

Yes!*

If you could do all that, would you do it?

Unfortunately, our healthcare system and the insurance model don't work. Just look at the statistics. People keep getting sicker with more "chronic" conditions that must be "managed." Our healthcare system pushes doctors to see many patients to maximize insurance billing, while patients get less valued time with them. Doctors dislike it but have no choice.

So, to ask our question again, if you could achieve a healthy weight fast, reverse type 2 diabetes, and improve your metabolic health, would you do it? We're sure you would.

Socially conscious entrepreneurs and physicians founded the SOZA Clinic in 2012 and SOZA Weightloss (for healthcare providers), in 2021. They created a program for those who failed with traditional methods and didn’t want extreme medical interventions.

Dr. Anthony Wehbe, a SOZA co-founder, was prediabetic and concerned about developing type 2 diabetes. Inspired by wellness enthusiast Gus Bouari's success with a low-carb, high-protein diet, Dr. Wehbe decided to try this approach. Despite skepticism, he lost 50 pounds in 60 days, significantly improving his metabolic health.

Many others in their community followed, achieving similar results. They found that a carefully structured low-carb, ketogenic, or mildly ketogenic nutrition program could not only help them lose weight and improve metabolic health but also reverse type 2 diabetes and eliminate the need for medication. Mainstream doctors and registered dieticians were out of touch about what actually worked (most are still out of touch today!)

People were astonished: "You're a totally different person. What did you do?" This demand led the two founders to innovate, study low-carb diets, recruit more patient-focused healthcare providers, and expand nationwide.

They developed a holistic low-carb weight loss program based on the Mediterranean diet, SOZA, derived from the Ancient Greek word "SOZO," which means complete, healed, prosperous, and redeemed. This holistic approach emphasizes natural, whole foods to combat poor health caused by sugar and processed foods.

"In truth we've been unknowingly helping people reverse their type 2 diabetes in a few short months. Obesity and type 2 diabetes go hand in hand. While we haven't published studies yet, other similar programs have regarding the effect of low-carb diets, and major institutions like the American Diabetes Association recognize that low-carb can potentially put type 2 diabetes into remission. That's a huge development," says Gus Bouari, Co-Founder.

"A low-carb, high-protein Mediterranean-style diet is easy to follow and can reverse metabolic conditions. That's what we do—we want people to have the confidence that it is possible with low-carb diets to achieve a healthy weight fast, and potentially reverse type 2 diabetes and get off medications."

The science behind diets has evolved, and SOZA stays updated with the latest research. Rapid weight loss, achieved through a protein-rich, low-carbohydrate diet based on sustainable principles, has shown exceptional results. Participants lost weight quickly, improved their insulin resistance, blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and overall health, and many reversed their type 2 diabetes entirely.

Gus explains, "A low-carb, high-protein Mediterranean-style diet is easy to follow and can reverse metabolic conditions. That's what we do—we spread the word that a low-carb, high-protein ketogenic, or mildly ketogenic program can do amazing things. Rapid weight loss, done right, can be superior to slow and steady programs. However, we acknowledge that this program isn't for everyone. Results are not typical, but it's a great starting point."

The SOZA Weightloss program is a mildly ketogenic nutritional and wellness lifestyle program designed to help people lose visceral fat fast, reverse type 2 diabetes, and improve metabolic health. While the program's magic is centered around low-carb and comprehensive support, SOZA understands that some may need additional support in the form of drugs, either combining their SOZA program with prescription medication or holistic remedies when necessary.

The magic is in the nutrition program, not SOZA's natural remedies, or any drugs for that matter.

The comprehensive SOZA approach—nutrition, behavior modification, physical activity, natural remedies, or prescription weight loss drugs for those who need it—could produce results that rival or surpass medicines on their own with fewer side effects. "We're not against medication for those who need it; we help people get access if their doctor clears them for it. Medications alone aren't enough to achieve a healthy weight, and we don't want people losing a lot of muscle," says Gus.

In short, we want people to know they can do more than manage their weight and diabetes. They can restore their health completely, fast, and without needing medication. Ideally, our mission is to help patients get entirely off medications.
